I suggest you ...

Sorting the tasks by dragging the order

They are currently viewed in alphabetical order it would be nice to move them around so you could see what to to first second ect.

I'm a free thinker and tend to put tasks down as they come to me or as assigned, I'm an Administrator Assistant, this feature would allow me to reorganize according to importance. Otherwise I'll need another task app.

Agreed, the Subtasks have this feature, allowing it in the task view itself should be an option alongside alphabetical.

The ability to simply drag tasks fo a different order would be helpful. Only being able to assign priority is a pain. We need the ability to quickly rearrange the order of tasks for the day, not neccessarily by specific times, either.

When will this feature be implemented? It has been under review since 2014 and a number of votes have been gathered. How many votes does it need to be prioritized?

If you move your most important tasks into a specific category like .This Week or .This Month you can drag and drop tasks to different days within the Google Calendar view on the web app. This seems like important functionality that could be mimiced here. People do not get all the tasks done on a given day and like to reschedule them easily. Also it may be nice to convert such tasks to events and actually schedule the time per agile methodologies (take descriptions) but either gives tremendous flexibility if drag and drop

When this function will be implemented? It seems it's been 4 years already and there's no movement in this direction.

Indeed drag and drop tasks on the agenda view would be a great addition so that I can just put in the order the tasks need to be done.

Look at an app called Calengoo. They allow drag & drop. This app is better IMO, but Calengoo wins in the drag & drop department.

A1 - Let us sort & label tasks
    A2 - "A" tasks do today
    A3 - numbered as needed
    B1 - "B" not as urgent
    C1 - even less urgent

Hi! Is there any other way we can help speed up the development of this feature? This is my favorite app by far and being able to sort tasks into a custom order would be a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. I usually have tons of tasks and it can get very confusing if they are in alphabetical order. I need to be able to drag them into a custom order. Thank you in advance for your help!

Yes that would be much more comfortable to plan your dayday, by sorting manually your task! Please add!

You already do this perfectly with the subtasks ... so I'm sure you guys can do the same for the tasks. Drag and drop.

Google tasks has an order, and it supports a task having subtasks. Tha app should support those.
