Add a quick "move to today" (just like you have a "move to tomorrow" selection for tasks that you'd like to tackle now instead of waiting til when you previously planned to do it

    It would be nice if it worked for overdue items as well- I always have a list of overdue items that I keep putting off, and it would be nice if I could shift them all to the current day I am on
